How to build your own stringed instrument.

Before starting any project, do your research.

Have a look on any Luthier websites for any technical directions and hints.

You will notice that many of the people making stringed instruments employ a certain amount of experimentation in their techniques.

With each instrument, mistakes will be made, lessons will be learnt and improvements will be made in making the next instrument.

I have read that once you finish making an instrument, you soon are thinking of the next one.
