Olivia’s Box Bukey
Olivia’s Box Bukey was designed to look rustic. It certainly fits the idea.
Olivia stained it a deepish brown and then burnt around the edges, left nail heads showing and burnt around them too.
I had some rough sawn, undressed blackwood that we fitted as the fret board. We used epoxy resin to fill this and then sanded it smooth afterwards.
Olivia contined her burning on the back with another intricate artistic design. Looks awesome.
The strings are steel. Tuned to DAdd in the strum stick style. Dulcimer fretting pattern.
This is a sweeet sounding instrument. Clear and strong with great action and resonance. One of the best.
